Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") carefully before using the Cashen website or enrolling in any of our programmes. By accessing our website or submitting an enrolment enquiry, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
1. Definitions
- "Cashen", "we", "us", "our" — refers to Cashen, an education provider registered in Malaysia, with its principal place of business at Level 13, Menara Great Eastern, No. 303 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
- "Programme" or "Service" — refers to any educational workshop, course or programme offered by Cashen, including the Personal Tax Vocabulary Workshop, the Tax Literacy Course, and the Complete Personal Tax Literacy Programme.
- "User", "you", "your" — refers to any individual who accesses this website or enquires about or enrols in a Programme.
- "Content" — refers to all materials, documents, glossaries, annotated forms, guides and resources produced or provided by Cashen.
- "Agreement" — refers to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or enrolling in a Programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are accessing the site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
3. Nature of Services
Cashen provides personal tax literacy education in the form of general informational content only. All Programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute, and should not be construed as:
- Personalised tax advice or recommendations
- Financial planning or investment guidance
- Legal advice of any kind
- Accounting services
Participants are strongly encouraged to consult a qualified and registered tax agent, accountant or financial professional for guidance specific to their personal circumstances. Cashen makes no representations about the tax treatment of any individual's situation.
Programme availability is subject to scheduling and minimum enrolment numbers. Cashen reserves the right to reschedule or cancel sessions and will provide reasonable notice where possible.
4. Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation from Cashen. Enquiries submitted through our website do not constitute enrolment. We do not operate user accounts on this website. Programme materials and schedules are communicated by email.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use this website and any Programme for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use this website to transmit unlawful, harmful or misleading content
- Attempt to disrupt, access without authorisation, or compromise the security of this website or our systems
- Share or reproduce Cashen Content without written permission (see Section 6)
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in communications with Cashen
6. Intellectual Property
All Content, including programme materials, glossaries, annotated form examples, printed guides and website copy, is the intellectual property of Cashen. Enrolment grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Content for personal educational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, sublicense or commercially exploit any Content without prior written consent from Cashen. Official LHDN documents referenced in our materials remain the property of the relevant Malaysian authorities.
7. Fees and Payment
All programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Current fees are:
- Personal Tax Vocabulary Workshop: RM 525
- Tax Literacy Course (4 Weeks): RM 1,360
- Complete Personal Tax Literacy Programme: RM 2,720
Payment details will be confirmed upon enquiry. Cashen reserves the right to revise fees for future programme cycles.
Cancellations and refunds: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the session date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the session date may be subject to an administrative fee. Where Cashen cancels a session, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
8. Disclaimer — Educational Scope
All Cashen Programmes and Content are provided strictly as general educational information. Cashen makes no representation that the information presented is suitable for any particular individual's tax situation. The vocabulary and document examples used in sessions reflect publicly available information and general descriptions at the time of delivery. Malaysian tax law and LHDN forms may change, and participants should verify current requirements directly with official sources or a qualified professional.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cashen's total liability for any claim arising from or connected with a Programme or this website shall not exceed the fee paid for the relevant Programme.
Cashen shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss arising from the use of our website or attendance at any Programme, including any loss resulting from reliance on content that was not intended as professional advice. Cashen is not responsible for decisions made by participants on the basis of general educational information received in our sessions.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Cashen, its educators and staff harmless from any claims, losses or damages arising from your breach of this Agreement, misuse of Content, or reliance on information that was not intended as personalised professional advice.
11. Termination
Cashen reserves the right to refuse or cancel a programme enrolment where a participant breaches this Agreement or conducts themselves in a disruptive manner during sessions. Sections 6, 8, 9 and 10 shall survive any termination of this Agreement.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall first be subject to good-faith informal resolution by contacting us at [email protected]. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
13. General
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and Cashen in respect of its subject matter.
- Severability: If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision at any time shall not constitute a waiver of Cashen's rights.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement without our written consent. Cashen may assign its rights in connection with a business transfer.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
